@Woody Sorry about missing the 5Ghz. Common 2.4Ghz channels are 1, 6, and 11. What you can do is grab a Wi-Fi analyzer on your smart phone, see what channel is used least and try that on the router.

@internet-breath With our other routers I've seen the filter not work when referencing sitename.com rather then putting www.sitename.com, see if that will allow the site whiel in allow mode.
