@SeattleWayne mine does exactly the same thing. I ordered two of them so I even tried swapping them out with a different one while double checking all the wiring, but still no luck

@JWatkins58 What does the app say after the switch automagically dims? Does it show the switch as dimmed right down, or does it show the switch at the expected brightness level?

Hey all, to those that preordered on Amazon, how much was it?

I just switched over from Wemo to Kasa today. Really liking it a lot.

Mine arrive today so I am also wondering if I should even try. For the people that have installed it and it isn't working, is the wiring setup like: power source > switch 1 > switch 2 > light bulb?

I wonder if it doesn't work as well if it is: power source > switch 1 > light bulb > switch 2?

Maybe the instructions cover both scenarios though?

@titanvex There is switch fo the power side and a switch for the light side. I'm 100% sure I have the switches in the correct places. I triple checked with a electrical tester with neither switch connected. Everything was unwired. Turn the light on and it just dims.

@Astone595 Hopefully it is just a firmware update that's required. If it's due to a hardware design flaw, then we could end up waiting a long time for revised product to make it to store shelves.
