HS210 install ok, but have to push app button twice to turn on or off
Installed just one side of a HS210 because the other switch is outside. Both physical switches work fine. They turn the lights on or off. When using the app, I have to get the on/off button twice each time to turn the light on or off. I wouldn't care that much except now scheduling won't work as it needs to run twice, but I'm using sunrise and sunset, so I can't program that.

The issue is that the app isn't recognizing or sending the "Off" signal. If I ask Alexa to just use the on command it toggles fine.
Kasa needs to fix the app.

Has anyone been able to figure out this problem? I just installed mine today and I am having the same problem. Have to toggle twice in the app to change the light. The physical switch itself works just fine if pressed manually.

@Tony you mean change the physical location of the switch or change the load feed lines?

@vectyr I have 5 of these HS210 switches and all have worked without issue until yesterday. Now, one of the five switches requires that I push the app button twice to turn off and twice to turn on. This ruins voice command functionality through Alexa and is super annoying. The other four switches continue to work just fine. In addition, both of the physical switches work without issue for the problem child switch and I'm only having problems with the wireless functions. I've tried factory reset, reinstalling the phone app, router power-cycle, resetting the physical switches and nothing has worked.

@jergood I bought two three ways. One works fine, the other doesn't.

@steinre1 Same issue here.
Tried the switch in both positions didn´t solve it. Then I swapped the switch with another one that wa working fine and the problem stayed, meaning the switch is not the problem.
So I guessed it was the wiring, so i disconnected one of the travellers at the smart switch. And in fact it works fine now in terms of the app, but of course i no longer have a 3 way switch on each side.
If the regular switch is touched, there is no power, beating a bit the purpose of having a smart switch instead of a smart bulb.
If anyone has found the actual problem I would really appreciate sharing the answer.

@vectyr Same for me. Two boxes with two each. Two locations and in each location one works and one doesn't.
