Using away settings for vacation , programming won allow for random on/off for a 24 hour day. Typically I would want to cycle starting at 7 PM and end at 6 AM randomly. The app wont allow that time span
Currently your best option would be to use the schedule feature. Away mode only allows one instance to be set. With Schedule its a bit more involved but you can set each day to have a different on and off time, or you can always use the Sunrise, Sunset option as well.
Another option is to use the routines or scheduling features of Alexa or Google Assistant if you have any of those products connected as well.
