Smart actions more than 3 active

I am adding smart switches to bathrooms and closets. I had planned on having them all on a timer to turn off after 30 minuites or so. I then found out you can only have 3 smart actions active. Is there a work around somebody has found for this?

@Carl Why? What is the limitation on the Kasa cloud or reason for limiting? Is it a cloud bandwidth $$ concern or something else? This is a huge concern for me. Your app would be great if it could do unlimited smart actions. Thanks

Honestly thats above my paygrade and not something they would openly provide to customers. We are just in the dark and concerned about this as you are. I have been pushing for updates since we knew of the limiation.

@Fortify9 I found a temporary work around. It will not be suitable for everyone however. If you have/use the Google Home app, you can just add your Kasa smart device (switch, plugs, etc) and create an action through the Google Home app. Actions can be created to start/stop at a certain time or at the sound of a voice command (Google Home Mini, Nest, etc). I honestly don't know if a Google device is required to use Google Home... I have 4 Google Home Minis so that's why I was using the app but I do know Kasa products such as the smart switches and smart plugs work seamlessly with it. Hope this helps someone.

just download the SmartThings app and all your problems are fixed. Took about 10 minutes from download to up and running. Ditch the inefficient Kasa App and you won't look back!

It does not even have IFTTT triggers (to group switches). Your devs must be the most incompetent devs in existence.

@ASBGROUP Even though it doesn't recognize the cameras, use it for all your other automations. I used the 3 smart actions for my cameras. It took some thinking on what I wanted to do but I would be glad to help you if you need it. I used a combination approach.

Really, after several years this has not change. 3 "Smart Actions" limit makes it mostly useless! Additionally, the HELP document in the app states (very last sentence): Please note that Kasa currently supports up to 50 Smart Actions. However, as we all know, the app hides the fact that it only currently supports 3!
