First, I want to start by saying I want to use TWO HS210s in this 3-way set up. If i have to run more romex, I will. I'd prefer not to. The Kasa app forces me to use a dumb switch with ONE HS210 every time I try to go through it's install walk-through. Wiring Diagram

I attached a crude drawing of my current wiring. I was unsure how to draw wires when they're twisted together, so any wires you see with the three lines at the end are twisted to wires of the same color. (Neutral/White wires are twisted to others of the same color, and ground/bare are drawn in green, and are also twisted to others of their color. All caped with wire nuts)

In Box 2 connect black to common/load, red and white are travelers.

You will need to run a neutral from box1 to box2.

In box 1 connect black from Hot In to common/load, red and white are travelers.

Mark the existing white that goes from box1 to box2 with black tape(so you know it is a traveler)

Run a white neutral from the other whites in box1 to box2 to be used for box2 HS210 white(neutral)

Copy that. That's what I feared I'd have to do, but already putting together the order for some 12/2 romex to get it done.

If you just change the one switch in box1 you would not need to run the romex
