Not my first instal. Wiring woks because the 3-way works as a dumb switch. I reset the switch but I get a red-amber flash a few times and then nothing.  The switch isn't detected by my phone to connect to set it up.

Anyone have this issue before?  Defective switch?

i suspected faulty wiring but it works as a 3-way switch and the unit is getting power to light up.

If the amber light keeps blinking it appears to be constantly resetting.

 

You could try factory defaulting it to see if that helps by holding the small left button for 10 seconds.

 

The switch can be swapped with the other to see if the issue follows the switch or stays with the outlet.

 

If however, the wiring has been verified, then it might be an issue with the switch itself.
