I have an AX3000 router. I have to set up a DSL network. Will my router work with a DSL modem? It's not a combo modem, it's from AT&T.

I found these instructions:

How to configure TP-Link Wi-Fi router to work with a DSL modem(new designed blue UI)

They say to Connect your computer to one LAN port of your TP-Link router. Why do I need to do this?

I don't own a computer. I use an iPad Pro exclusively and all my devices with wifi only. How do I get this hooked up?

  @FutureMagic,

The router is simply meant to be setup from the web interface, which is the most accessible via LAN. As long as the router is broadcasting a default SSID, you can connect to the routers default network to access the interface and configure the settings through your iPads mobile browser.
