The kasa app / camera firmware is too limited in its use cases.

Not everyone wants 24x7 recording burning up a normal SD card and encouraging the use of endurance cards.

The camera is able to do motion and person detection on its own.. no SD card required. Why not allow users to configure clip recording ONLY WHEN motion / person detection occurs.

Enable recording to SD card from the time motion was detected (or even a few seconds before if possible) upto a configurable length of time, say 5 mins. This will significantly increase SD card life (as writes are happening in short bursts) and overall storage space use. I personally don't care to record 24x7 when I'm only interested in the video clips around the events.
