Hi all

 

I plan to switch my network equipment to TP-Link Deco.

 

I have a EAP225 outdoor access point from a previous project. Is this access point at all compatible with the Deco mesh system?

Based on my recent readings, it appears that Omada Mesh and Deco Mesh are not compatible with one another. Additionally, this article does not pertain to the US versions of tp-link products; however, it does provide an overview of the differences between Deco Mesh, Omada Mesh, and OneMesh.

If you require a device for outdoor use, I recommend the X-50 outdoor Deco. You can find more information about the X-50 outdoor model below.

Additionally, you have the option to mix and match Deco units, allowing you to use the X-50 outdoors while selecting different units for indoor use.
