EP25 DOES NOT work with Alexa. Please update description in Amazon!
First not sure about firmware 2.61, but latest updated when I installed this morning.
Had I realized this is a different device from the EIGHT HS103's I have already, I'd never have purchased the 2-pack. Can't decide if I can repack and return to Amazon or just throw in the trash. I have TP-Link WAP, two TP-Link extenders, and the mentioned 8 HS103 plugs. The time I've spent trying to get this new device to work has frankly changed my attitude toward TP-Link as a brand. We buy this stuff to save time, not to have a way to spend half a day of our limited free time.
Once I figured out that this smart plug, even though it looks just like my other 8, is configured with Bluetooth, I think I got it working, although the IP address it has worries me a bit. Anyway the Kasa app installed it finally, and it works manually from the app and by schedule. However, "Alexa turn on so and so, gets me "Sorry, I can't find a group or device called so and so." Reset and did the whole thing again by Bluetooth and tried via wifi, but got stopped for lack of Homekit.
Is there any chance this will ever work with Alexa? All I read here is about Home kit and Apple. From the Amazon 1-star reviews, I'm not encouraged...about either Kasa OR TP-Link.
