Firmware Version: 1.1.0 Build 20241217 Rel. 38308

Hi there. I need some help =)

About a year ago, I purchased a number of BE95 mesh routers to deploy around my home and home office with the intention of having fast, reliable connectivity. My wife and I both work from home as engineers and have a great need for reliable networking.

I currently have four of the BE95s deployed around my home:

1. The primary, which is plugged directly into the modem

2. Two additional nodes, which have a Cat6 backhaul

3. Finally, a single BE95 node in my home office which is in a separate building, approximately ~75ft away from one of my ether backhaul'd BE95s

Over the past few months, I've had a gradually increasing amount of network issues with the BE95 units. My main deco node will randomly turn red, and completely stop working. This bricks my entire network and currently happens several times per day. This has tremendously messed up my work from home situation, unfortunately. Also, please note that this same behavior happens with my other decos as well, albeit less frequently.

I've done a bunch of debugging, and while my setup isn't particularly complicated, here's what I've done so far:

- I've disabled all QoS functionality (I read that it may lead to instability issues)

- I've disabled SIP ALG (I read it can cause problems)

- I've rebooted the physical devices multiple times, and sometimes it's taken 5+ reboots before a node is green again

I'm starting to go crazy here. I don't have a complicated network at all: I've got all dynamic DHCP-style services, with the exception of a home NAS that's got a static IP and a few ports forwarded to it. Outside of that, I'm not doing anything fancy.

Can anyone give me some advice as to what I can potentially do or try to help improve the stability of my network? I really need it to stop randomly requiring physical reboots. Any advice is welcome.

@hackker I've recently encountered severe instability after the firmware updates.  My network uses wireless backhaul and most of the instability seems to have introduced after turning on fast roaming.  I've had random node drops and also the primary would drop the internet connection.  Someone suggested that I also completely reset all my devices and rebuild the network.  It's a bit of work but not that bad.  I'll try that next.

Hmmm... obviously something happened with BE95 - it is nowhere to be found in Europe, maybe withdrawn quietly all over?
The product has gone from all TP-Link European websites as well - no listing, no information, no support.
Strangely, no offcial word from TP-Link as well.

  @hackker

I think there are a few things you can try to fix your issues.

1. I would try the Network Optimization tool in the Deco app maybe there is another Wi-Fi signal around you interfering with your network? From the Deco app click on More - Then Network Optimization - Scan

2. Next time your main deco goes red if you can run an Ethernet wire directly from the back of your modem to your pc. Maybe the problem is your modem? Or Your ISP is having issues?

3. Another thing it "could" be is a problem with your main deco and there are two different ways you can swap one of your other units to the main deco to see if the problem persist or not.

You can find the instructions below. Option #1 sometimes works and sometimes it won't,

Configuring multiple models of deco units to operate concurrently.

If you have multiple models of Deco units, it is recommended to designate the new model as the primary Deco and the older models as secondary units.

There are two methods to achieve this. Regardless of the option you choose, please ensure that your network is configured according to either the first or second examples in this image: https://static.tp-link.com/upload/faq/image-20240329074344-12_20240329144345n.png.

**Option #1 (Not recommended)**: For guidance, please refer to the following link: https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/faq/2400/.

**Option #2**:

1. Reset all of your Deco units by pressing the reset button on each one.

2. Using the Deco app, set up your newest Deco as the main unit. Since you have factory reset each unit, you will be able to use the same network SSID and password as before.

3. Once the newer model is operational, return to the app and add the remaining Decos to your network.

@Gamers_ EU hasn't approved upper 6 GHz half for WiFi use, yet...
