I have two RE315's acting as range extenders on the 2.4 GHz channels.  The 5 GHz channels on both extenders is turned off.  Both extenders are connected to a 2.4GHz main network.  The connection to any 5 GHz main networks is turned off.  Everything seems to work fine except it seems that each RE315 is limited to only 8 clients; if I add any more, the RE315 just drops earlier ones to pick up a new one.  Is it true that the RE315 is capable of only 8 clients per extended network?  The Amazon ad from which I purchases these said it was capable of 25 clients.

Your reply sent me to a post where the person asked a similar question to mine.  That’s fine, but that person did not get an answer to the question in the reply to that post, either.  In that post, the link in the line “Read through this blog for more details” is a dead link, so does not help.  The link provided in the line “Go through this thread for more details” sends him (and me) to a very general document that basically says ’it kind of depends’ but says nothing specific about the RE315 product that we are asking about.  Is it just the truth that there is no way to know what the maximum number of clients are that I can have on my RE315?  Is there some measurement or reading I can take on the RE315 that will tell me more?  With the configuration I gave you, should I use the “High Speed Mode” option?

There's a topic in there which says:

In this topic is described how many devices you can connect to a RE in general.

A particular information regarding RE315 can be provided only by the TP-Link admins.

Yes, if you enable 5GHz radio on the REs, you could use that band explicitly for a wireless backhaul between your router and the REs.

You can test that - thus devices connected to the REs will have a greater bandwidth to your router.

Great, thank you, just the info I needed.  Don't know why I can't get to your link, but I get only a tp-link graphic page that says "Oops! The page you're looking for can't be found."  But no matter, you have given me the info I need.  One recommendation: you might put this info into your product description, since it is pretty critical to the use of the device.  Anything thanks again.
