The face plate looks good but it is hard to remove.  Once it's on the wall, it's worse.

If you need to remove the face plate, and assuming that the recess is on the bottom, try this:

1. Position a wide putty knife flat against the wall at the bottom of the face plate to protect the wall surface.

2. Using a large common screwdriver, put the tip of the screwdriver into the recess in the face plate.

3. Twist the screwdriver blade one way or the other to pry the face plate loose.

4. Catch the face plate as it pops off the wall.
