I notice that tp-link offers the tapo s515D as a kit for a threeway setuup. Are there any plans to offer a single s515D product for those who don't need the 3-way functionality? I'm aware that there is the tapo s505D but as far as I understand it, that switch does not support energy monitoring and that's a feature I am interested in.
S515 @jaruil 100% agree, but I'll go further.
Chat said buy the kit and discard the satellite (or use for another kit for 4-way).
So I bought ~20 S515D kits - 8 for 3-way, the rest as regular dimmers.
(I wanted Matter and Energy-Monitoring Dimmers)
After a full day of my team trying to get the S515D working with just one unit, I hopped on Chat again, only to be told it won't work without both.
That is a day of pay I gave my crew for NOTHING due to whatever stupidity is present, whether the first Chat wrong, the second Chat wrong, or idiotic product design.
I'm now actually considering whether I might hide the satellite in the wall (behind a plate, in another box; to code).
I have HUNDREDS of Kasa and Tapo products, this stupidity really makes me rethink their company.
