Does Tapo make anything like this? Open to getting a TC85 or something similar if needed.

  @MitchellMan,

Unfortunately, no - but the cameras themselves are what are magnetic, those plates are simply guaranteed to allow a strong magnetic connection between the plate and camera. If you are looking to move the camera across mounts, you would want to take the base of the mount AND the camera to the next mounted metal plate

I do have to warn with a mount like you linked - the actual conneciton between the camera and mount could be weaker than what we provie in our mount. This just means that any damage that comes with using a mount like this is not supported by your warranty since we cannot know if it performs up to our expectations.

  @Riley_S

the question still remains, is it possible to purchase additional more of the  mounting metal  plates?

 We live in the country and plan to use the camera to monitor wildlife. Our home is a log cabin so a screw in mount is needed and we only want the one camera that we can then shift to other positions.

  @Nora49,

Unfortunately, the answer would be that it is only available via a part request if it broke or never came with the device.

For devices such as the C120, the camera itself is magnetic, the plate is just a compatible metal. You may be able to find another surface with a strong enough magnetic connection to reliably hold the camera.

For the C425 I would recommend looking to see if your camera has a mounting screw on the back of the camera. While it may be less portable, it is common size and would be a much more stable mount for wildlife viewing

While they are not supported and would void a warranty if they fell and broke, there are plenty of community/unofficial options available, from 3D prints or comparable plates.
