Thanks for reaching out! We actually just got a notification that this is a behavior that can be seen on the current version of the Android Tapo App. You can install this beta version of the app to your phone and see if the behavior is resolved. One of our coworkers actually had a similar behavior on one of his clips and the update appears to have solved the distortion:
