Hi,

I have a Tapo D225 doorbell camera.

About 1- 2 weeks ago, I noticed that I could no longer do Live View with the camera.

I don't check the Live View in my doorbell camera often, so I'm not sure how long its been like this.

The Tapo app would just sit there and "spin" trying to load the doorbell Live View.

I assume because Live View was not working, I could not go in and view my recordings either.

I could see the recordings in the list, but when I tapped to view them, it would not load the recordings.

The camera was still functioning as far as I could tell.

I was receiving notifications when an event occurred.

It was still recording because I could see new recordings in the list.

I just could not get Live View to work and I could not view any recordings.

I tried:

- Resetting my Wifi route thinking it was a connectivity issue

- Rebooting and powering the camera OFF and ON

- Uninistalling / reinstalling the Tapo app on my phone

- Removing and re-adding the camera back to the Tapo app

- Re-initialzing the camera back to factory and re-adding it

- Tapping "Format MicroSD Card" in the Tapo app

None of this fixed.

To fix the issue:

- Powered the doorbell camera OFF and removed the MicroSD card

- Formatted the MicroSD card in my computer

- Re-installed the MicroSD card and powered ON the camera

- Initialized the MicroSD card in the Tapo app

Live View is now funtioning just fine and I can now view all of my recordings in my doorbell camera.

I am running Firmware version 1.1.16 Build 250118 Rel. 48497n on the doorbell camera.

I have AutoUpdate turned ON, so I'm not sure when this was pushed to my doorbell camera.

Looking up that firmware version, it does seem to be somewhat new, so I'm guessing the firmware update occurred recently.

If you have a doorbell camera and it's doing something similar, try removing the MicroSD card and formatting it to see if it will fix your issue.

Obviously this is not an ideal work around as you have to delete all your recordings to get your doorbell camera to work.

Hopefully Tapo is aware of the issue and releases a fix soon.

Thank you.
