Kasa ES20Ms Hangs every few days and requires a reset

I owned 2 Kasa ES20Ms. Every fews days, they hang and I need to push the reboot button for them to start working again.
Wondering if other folks are facing the same issue and what TP-Link is doing about it since this has been happening for several months now.

@PJ78729 I have been experiencing the exact same problem and have not found a solution. I have 4 of these switches and they all have to be reset, it is not the router or connection because our wifi is stable. Seems like faulty firmware.

@PJ78729 Same story on mine. I own two, one has to be reset and is probably 10 feet from a 2.4g only access point and the other disconnects frequently but a non-motion Kasa switch in the same box never seems to have issues.

@Wayne-TP thanks for responding.
The physical buttons become unresponsive rulling out the simple connectivity issues. The switch seems to stay connected until this happens looking at the router clients.
When in this state, the switch is not accessible through anything and even the physical buttons are not working.
please let me know ifyou woupd like further info.

I should mention that I have several other models of Kasa switches and do not have this problem. Also, I've assigned static ip addresses to rule out network problems.
All switches are also connected to Home Assistant and third party integration is set to allow. It is specifically the ES20M that locks up, as soon as I remove them from Home Assistant they work fine without issue, but it seems the issue cropped up after firmware updates.

If your Kasa ES20M has been linked to any open-source third-party platforms, like Home Assistant, try to disconnect them, then monitor the subsequent performance on the switch. Home Assistant and other open-source platforms are NOT officially supported by Kasa, product performance cannot be guaranteed when used through unofficial methods, and we don't provide support for this usage.
If this issue still occurs after the ES20M has been disconnected from all unofficial third-party platforms, please reach out to the technical support team directly for further assistance -- email to support.usa@tp-link.com.
To receive efficient follow-up, make sure to include the following information in your email.
1. Model, hardware, and firmware version of your Kasa switch.
2. A video of the problem - when the switch 'hangs'.
3. How the issue is triggered, the frequency, and the way to restore it.
4. How long have you been using the switch and when did you notice the problem.

It's just sad that every other product you make works flawlessly, yet TP-Link cowardly and sheepishly hides behind the standard terms and conditions stating you don't work with Home Assistant. You are Platinum certified with Home Assistant and sell a ton of products because of that, but when it comes to trying to solve an issue, you slither away into some nebulous, lawyerly language. Why can't you just do the right thing and fix the issue instead of being like most corporations? Be a Costco, Discount Tire, or Chick-fil-A, not a hopeless, amorphous mass just getting by with the bare minimum.
I know this was a waste of internet space, but damn, do better.

@PJ78729
Ever fix this? Having exact same issue with 2x ES20Ms, my other 30+ Kasa switches work without issue. It's not a connectivity/wifi/distance issue, it's just two of them, they are not further than others from APs. Only fix is the reboot it manually with the button.
Happens every few days.

Is your device connected to any open-source third-party platforms? Try disconnecting them to see if the issue continues.

@Wayne-TP Yes, I bought these devices because of their interoperability with Home Assistant. I don't really want them if they will not work when connected to HASS.
Is that an issue you have seen people have?
One of the lights in question is involved in an automation (condition, not trigger or action), but the other isn't at all.
I have 25 or so automations that involve Kasa lights but it is only these two ES20Ms that have issues.
