DL110 lock battery status

I installed this lock 2 weeks ago. It gets used every day and is always connected to Wi-Fi. Yet the battery still shows 100% in the app. I don't see how this can be accurate.

I installed the same device one and a half weeks ago. Exactly the same issue you are experiencing. I've tried a factory reset but the battery still shows 100%. Have you had any luck solving this?

To ensure a better user experience, there may be a difference between the actual and displayed battery levels when the device is fully charged. For example, even when the battery shows 100%, there is a small amount of extra (or buffer) power built in. This buffer is consumed first before the displayed battery percentage begins to decrease.

Hi. I am going on 4 months and my lock still shows 100%. I have taken battery out for 15 minutes and replaced but it still shows 100. We use several times a day so impossible still at 100. TK Link support, what is the fix for this? Can't you release a software upgrade to fix this?

@NYC-JM the battery is bad. They'll send you a new one if you open a case.

For what it's worth it took many months for mine to finally show a decrease in battery. It is working fine now, showing the battery slowly going down.
I know it is frustrating, but my understanding is that the battery, hardware and software aren't calibrated very well by Tapo. It's almost as if the battery has been charged more than what the door lock understands to be 100 per cent.
Personally I would wait a few more months, but definitely take it back before the warranty expires if you are still having issues.
