Tapo Care

I received an email instructing me to cancil by subscription to Tapo Care and then renew it due to billing changes. Is this real or a scam?

If you can share a screenshot of the email, we can confirm. I would state that, in general, no, that is not a valid email as I have never seen any such email sent out for Tapo Care or even Kasa Care for that matter. I think its safe to say its not legit but please if you can share a screen capture of the email and we will confrim.

Hi Dave,
Thanks for being patient. Yes, I have been able to confirm that this message is legitimate. We were updating our payment system, and some customers could not be migrated over. So they devised it as a compensatory resolution. Since there is the inconvenience of having to unsubscribe and resubscribe to link to the new payment system, they are giving a month of TapoCare for free.
