Using the Kasa Smart EP10

 

All plugs have worked perfectly through Kasa app and Alexa for about 3 years. Last week all of my plugs started being non responsive. I have tried everything. At this point I have deleted all plugs from both the Alexa app as well as the Kasa smart app. My phone is able to connect to the plugs but my plugs cannot connect to my wifi. Below is what I have tried.

 

-resetting router, phone, and app

-logging in and out of app

-deleting and reinstalling app

-splitting wifi to 2.4 Ghz

- factory resting plug

- setting up in airplane mode

- changing 2.4 ghz password and name

- forgetting wifi and logging back in

- forgetting plug wifi and gaining it back

- connecting iPhone to 2.4 ghz network

I had the same problem that started last week. Either Kasa or Amazon updated and disconnected from each other. If you uninstall one of the smart plugs that is still working on Kasa, then reinstall it and say that you do not have the scan on the box. It will prompt you to connect Amazon to Kasa, and when you do that, it will fix all connections and add the device back that you just deleted.

Do all of this in the Alexa app.
