I have followed all the trouble shooting advice on the the error message page. I have been trying to get the app to recognize my Tapo S500D dimmer switch but the app does not find the device no matter what I do.
anyone have this problem and solved it?

Can you share a screenshot of the error? Did your phone connects to the smart switch's WiFi on this setup step?
