Hello,

I'm researching these 3-way dimmers and am curious if you have to replace both switches in a 3-way circuit.  I see some reference to master / slave configs which seems that you need both. My question is can you mix one S515/S515D with a normal 3-way and get the programming functions?

Thank you,

RC

  @RogerEC

Tapo S515D KIT, the dimmer 3-way switch, cannot be used separately or work with a traditional 3-way switch, not even the S515.

On the other hand, the Tapo S515, it can work in a 3-way or 4-way connection with the traditional switches, but two S515 cannot be used together to build a 3-way connection.

  @Wayne-TP

Since the S515 is a switch and the S515D is a dimmer it's important to clarify they're not interchangeable.

I wanted a Matter-certified Energy-Monitoring dimmer. The S515D fit the need - except for the satellite requirement, which is frakking idiotic.

(I'm seriously thinking of burying the satellite in a box with a plate, but this is such a waste of time and effort.)

How can one get an energy monitoring Matter dimmer from your product line?

Or, if one can't today,

WHEN will it be available?
