Shortcut to full brightness for S505D
I have a lot of S505D switches and a few S515D 3-ways.
The S515D allows me to set an action for double tap and long press but the S505D does not. The action options aren't what I want for the S515D though which is full brightness.
If the light was last on as dim, I want to have a short cut to turn it to full brightness without having to press the increase brightness button a million times.
Even having a double tap on increase brightness as a shortcut trigger would also work. Most other dimmer switches have something like this (lutron and leviton).
Why doesn't S505D have the same shortcuts as S515D and why isn't one of the options "full brightness"?

The long-press and double-tap gestures are not supported as triggers for Smart Actions. You can raise a feature request post for it.
But for the needs of adjusting the switch to full brightness, this can be done by using the Tapo shortcuts (software feature), by clicking the Tapo shortcut in the Tapo app or through a Tapo shortcut widget on your phone's homescreen, the switch can be turned on and adjusted to the set lighting immediately. The switch supports an action skill, 'Turn on and customize settings', in Tapo Smart Action. How to create Smart Action (Automation or Shortcut) on Tapo app
Furthermore, if your routine includes setting the switch light brightness to maximum at specific times, such as during the daytime, you can achieve this by creating an automation rule. During the designated time period, the switch will automatically adjust the light brightness to your preferred level, whether you control it via the switch button or the app.

Long-press should be available for Tapo S505D as a dimmer control option, you can double-check it in Device Settings > Smart Dimmer Configuration.
This was my point. This exists for my S515D dimmers, but not the S505D. Attached screenshot of settings for S505D in Android app.

Thanks, created this post for this request.

Thanks for the suggestions but these don't work for me. I don't want to have my phone out every time I need it bright in a room. Even if I did, I have too many lights to search through for this to be faster than just pressing the physical increase brightness button a million times. Also it isn't time of day, it's task specific, example: I'm looking for something I dropped.

Checked with the tech team, the S505D does not support long-press or double-tap.
We don't have information on product's future plans. But i recommend keep an eye on device's new firmware release, any important updates will be listed in the firmware release note.
