Alexa Routines with TAPO S500D Switch don't show status options only "Main Button -> TAP"
Just bought a bunch of Tapo Devices to replace my old Wifi wall switches. I've installed some S500D dimmers and when I go to create an Alexa Smart Home ROUTINE, and select the device and the trigger I don't get reasonable options for a trigger (like Switch On, Switch Off), the only option I get is "Main Button: Tap" which is totally useless. I need someone to look at the Alexa Integration and see what can be done to provide reasonable trigger states for the devices. "On and Off device state changes should be a bare minimum" for any wall switch device!!!

@Wayne-TP is this still an issue? I am about to purchase a large quantity of these Matter switches but this is one of the limiting factors if I can't use the correct buttons with Alexa.

Thi is indeed still and issue. tp-link obviously does not care whether the integration with Alexa works or not. Absolutely nothing has been done in the months since I opened this message to fix this issue. I've stopped buying the products at this point and no longer use them in my customer integrations.

I am still having the same issue with mine as well. Have you had any more word from tplink on if they intend to ever resolve this issue?

yes, this is still an issue for sure. Would really love for tplink to resolve this though.

@TheZcapGuy are you using an Alexa device with matter hub built in? For my use case, I would like to have the switch state (on/off) trigger a matter device not connected physically to the switch. Not sure if matter connected devices act differently
