Robot vacuums are designed to pick up everyday debris, including hair. However, fine or long strands can naturally wrap around the brush ends over time, especially in homes with pets or long-haired individuals. This is a common challenge for all robot vacuums due to two key factors:

• Hair naturally twists around rotating parts because of friction.
• The brush’s tapered ends create narrow spaces where hair tends to accumulate.

While our brushes are built for durability, some hair tangling is unavoidable with regular use, much like how hair collects on traditional vacuum rollers or hairbrushes.

We have a new model Tapo RV50 Pro Omni, which has a design specifically targeting the hair tangling issues. It features a Tangle-Free Cutting Brush, which automatically cuts wrapped hairs after each cleaning cycle when the robot returns to its dock, preventing buildup and ensuring long-term performance. For your current model, we recommend regular brush maintenance to minimize tangling. Alternatively, you may consider upgrading to this new solution.
