I live in two times zones depending on the season. The Tapo devices used to work fine. Now I see my scheduled events are not working correctly on my remote property...as the time changes to NZ/pacific, not Seattle?

 

I can't change it, greyed out? Seems like an easy fix but refuses all attempts to change the time zone?

 

any ideas?

 

ps I have devices in the NZ time zone, and in the seattle time zone. Not all the seattle

devices changed to NZ, just some of them including the light/fan switches and the 125 plugs...

The device’s time zone is preset during initial configuration—it follows the time zone of the mobile phone used for setup, so incorrect time zone settings should not occur under normal circumstances.

 

Since you are not on-site, remote troubleshooting options are limited. You may check if someone can assist you by restarting the router and the smart devices. If you were on-site, resetting and reconfiguring the device would be a viable step to try.

thanks Wayne, however there is a bug in the software/firmware as my USA time

zone devices have been set up and working fine for 1-2 years. Only in the last few months they have switched to my NZ time zone, likely after a matter/firmware update?

 

secondly, the community support pick list for device type (web browser) does not work correctly in the latest IOS and safari on iPhone...basically locks up. The second and third lines work OK (these are all cascading style sheets menus I guess)

 

please do some regression testing for the time zone bug...
