Model: Archer AX3200
Hardware Version: V16
Firmware Version: V1.0

I have the AX3200 configured as a range extender.  If I understand correctly, the fw update has to be done manually  since it can't communicate with the TPlink servers. My question is after the update is completed, does the router keep the range extender configuration or will I need to reconfigure it or backing up the configuration an restoring will work?

I remember having a lot a trouble setting it up as an extender and I am not sure what i did to make it work. I am afraid to change anything that makes the router lose the range extender configuration.

My fw version is 1.0 and the latest is v1.6

thanks

If you mean that AX3200 is configured in AP mode then it should be able to use automatic cloud update or manual update.

Most probably, your AX3200 HW version is v1. Here's the latest ( AX3200(US)_V1_1.1.2 Build 20230829 ) FW release. Compare with your current release and proceed if its newer.

You won't lose your AX3200 configuration upon the FW update.
