C615F with solar panel not charging with solar
Bought a C615F that includes a solar panel. It charges when plugged to a wall. However when running on battery and plugged into the solar panel, it doesn't charge. The battery will die.
I have checked the USB power cords and from what I can tell they are connected snug together.
The solar panel is indeed outdoors and gets direct sun and indirect sun 50/50 of the time respectively.
Is there something I can do to fix this, or is this a hardware issue?
Thank you

A few questions.
- Do you ever see a blue battery icon with a lightning bolt on the camera's button or live view screen?
- Have you enabled Solar Charging Data in the battery menu of the camera's settings? Camera > Settings > Battery Status > Solar Charging Data
- How active is the FOV area for the camera?
- Can you tell us what FW you are currently on?
- Are you using a MicroSD for recording?

Hi Carl, Thanks for responding.
1. I see a blue battery icon but no lightning bolt like when I plug it into the wall
2. I have not enabled Solar Charging Data
3. FOV area was very active but then I added zones so that the bush that always moves from the wind will not activate the recording
4. I'm sorry I don't know what FV is
5. Yes, I am using a MicroSD for recording.

2. Please enable this feature. It will visually tell us if the panel is charging or not.
3. Activity zones do not mean the camera will not wake whenever there is movement. They just tell the camera, after it wakes, that it can ignore the motion. I have this camera as well, and live on a main street in my community. I have had to position the camera to avoid getting woken up by the street traffic to avoid unnecessary drain on the battery, even with it connected and being charged by solar. If the sreet was in the FOV the battery drain would be to great, even for solar charging.
4. FW is a shorthand for Firmware. Its the camera's software. Settings > Device Info, and at the bottom of this menu.
5. If, after a few days, the Solar Charging Data remains empty, then it would be safe to say you have a bad panel that needs to be replaced. At that point, you would want to contact Support. If it does show stats let me know so i can give you further instructions.
