Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2.5 Build 240830

Recently purchased the Tapo P125M smart wi-fi plug. I have a fan plugged in and tried to program a schedule, on Alexa, to turn on/off at a certain time and "Home" temperature. I set up two schedules: ON at 10 a.m. only when the temperature is above 80° F and OFF at 10 p.m. only when the temperature is below 76° F. It turns ON but doesn't turn OFF at 10 p.m. and when the temperature is below 76° F. Suggestions or comments? Thanks

As i understand, Alexa doesn't support IF conditions. How did you setup your automation?

  @Wayne-TP

I had to set it up with two routines to control an indoor floor fan connected to the smart plug.

One routine for ON:

WHEN - Every day at 10 a.m.

ONLY IF -  The local temp is above 78° F.

The other for OFF:

WHEN - Every day at 10 p.m.

ONLY IF -  The local temp is below 75° F.

What i found, through trial and error, was that the temp has to meet its condition exactly at the ON or OFF time. If those conditions are met a minute or more after the ON/OFF time, the plug will remain in its last command. I was hoping to find a way to set up one routine to accomplish what i described above.

Thanks

A Tapo temperature sensor (Tapo T310 or Tapo T315) can help meet your needs. In Tapo automation, the IF condition supports evaluating sensor data based on its temperature or humidity range.  How to create Smart Action (Automation or Shortcut) on Tapo app
