Brand new TAPO C425 cameras.

I connect to device's wireless from my Android Samsund S20.

Installed the latest TAPO app, try to add the device which is right next to the phone and it can't find the device. Any suggestions?

 

Also question:

 

Are these devices able to connect to my home network?  My android is warning me that there is no internet when I connect to the camera which makes sense since it's not connected to the internet.  Will I be able to view these camers on my phone when the phone is not connected to the camera wireless?

I figured out hte issue.  I use a VPN with my phone.  Had to turn it off.  I'd suggest adding this to the setup instructions.  @JP_New_Mexico

Glad you were able to get it figured out. While this has been a long-standing troubleshooting step, we are definitely seeing an uptick in the number of reports, especially since some phones have VPNs by default.
