Model: Deco XE5300
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.4.5 Build 20241129 Rel. 44718

Recently I nnoticed some of my wired devices beginning to drop out on my XE5300 (HW v1.6) routers.

After some more testing I determined the following:

  1. All ethernet ports function for WAN
  2. All ethernet ports function for Deco-Deco wired backhaul
  3. No ethernet ports function for devices
    1. Windows 11 PC
    2. PC running Home Assistant OS
    3. RaspberryPi running Rasbian
    4. Apple TV 4K

I suspect this may have occurred after an update to Firmware 1.4.5 but I am not positive.

Since the ports work for WAN and backhaul but not for client devices, let's troubleshoot to determine if this is a port functionality issue or a configuration problem:

1. Disconnect one of your client devices (such as your Windows 11 PC) from the Deco, and connect it directly to your modem (or another device known to be working) using the same Ethernet cable to confirm whether the PC and Ethernet cable are functioning properly.

2. If the PC still indicates that no Ethernet cable is connected, the issue is likely not with the Deco, but may be related to the PC's Ethernet port or the Ethernet cable itself.

3. Try a different Ethernet cable and verify its functionality by connecting it to another device with a confirmed working Ethernet port.

4. If both the PC and Ethernet cable are confirmed to be working, test the same client device on different Ethernet ports on your Deco units for comparison.

5. Try testing with different satellite Deco units (not just the main one) to see if client devices can connect to their LAN ports.
