Setting name failed: Account is not binded to the device.

Android version 8.0.0 on a Nexus 5X
Trying to rename the device (which I named when I originally configured it,) I get this error. Why do I get the error and how do I fix it?
I can still control it from the app. I just noticed that the app reports 399.3 hours of run time today. :confused:

Edit: Doh! It's a smart plug, not a bulb. I posted to the wrong forum. Not that it matters as this is an error in the Android App.
