I was wondering if TP-Link is working on a ceiling fan switch (hoping with light control)? I don't like any of the smart fans out there and I refuse to buy any smart switches that require a hub.

@ZioJim Does not look like there is any smart ceiling fan products in the near future, but with respect to our switches (HS200/HS220/HS210KIT) they do not require a hub, only a smart phone with our Kasa app.

I would like to see a switch that controls ceiling fans.  No one has this type a product.  I went into Home Depot and asked what they had, I was told it's a good idea because they have had a few people ask about this.  I like my Kasa switches, I really hope that TP-Link develops this.  It would be great to replace my failing ceiling fan remotes with a switch that could do the same thing.  Change the speed of the fan with on and off.  Also be able to turn on/off the lights and dim them.  If a remote control can do that, I would think that would fit in the switch or the control unit that goes into the fan itself should be able to with smart home functions (aka use Alexa or Google Home).

I currently use TP-200 switches with my ceiling fans and lights. My house was pre-wired for separate wall switches so each feature has a unique switch.

I agree completely. This is a product that is definitely needed out in the marketplace and Kasa should be one of the first to do this. Your switches are seamless, do not require a hub, and are easy to use. Please tell the development team to start working on these as I believe they would be a big hit.

I could not agree more.  Very satisfied with my TP selection...........with one glaring hole.   Come on TP!   Lots of us out there waiting for this product.

I would love to see this as well. I have my whole house converted over to Kasa smart switches now, except for ceiling fans. I'm holding out for a Kasa switch. I love the design of the Dimmer switches, and something similar, with fans speed icons instead of brightness icons, would be absolutely perfect!

Please make this happen!

I too would love to see a cieling fan speen control switch. The only other reasonable options is a GE Z-Wave switch. I am just now installing smart switches and it was a hard decision to choose TP link over the GE Z-wave, just because of the fan control, but I hope I made the right choice.

@Tony Is there a way the Kasa/TP-link community can request the Fan control switch?
