I tested IFTTT on my end and it worked. Have you tried to run the app again recently?

It works sometimes but other times I receive the error.   

 

I  started having the problem a few weeks ago and it doesn't matter what TPLink light switch I hook it to I still receive the message.

I'll check with the team that monitors the cloud service to see if they noticed any interruptions around the screenshot you posted.
