Model: HS200  
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 15.5

I'm trying to use the timer smart action on an HS200 switch so that it turns off after 20 minutes. It works fine if the switch is turned on from the Kasa app on my phone. It does not work if the switch is turned on at the HS200 itself. Is that intended? It makes it a lot less useful if it is. Thanks in advance!

Thanks. I ended up deleting the app and then re-downloading it. Now the smart action works as you say. I'm a fan of the new smart actions for sure.

The feature should work like you assume where no matter if you physically turn it on or through the app, the timer would take over.

 

Delete the smart action and create it again, see if the issue still happens. If so, please provide a screenshot of what you configured.
