After a week of trying different things, I came across a solution for making a connection. I changed my router wireless security setting from WPA2 Personal to WPA before setting up the plug. It worked no problem so I set up the remaining three smart plugs. All three worked with out a problem. I then changed my wireless security setting back to WPA2 Personal and they still worked as they should. I then made sure they worked with Alexa. Everything is working as it should. I used an iPhone for the setup. I hope this helps somebody out there!
