Model: HS220
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

Have a two gang switch at the bottom of stairs. One of the switches controls the recess lights over the stairway. Those same lights can be turned off with another switch at the top of stairs.

The other switch in the two gang controls two recess lights in the family room downstairs. I can't get the switch to work at all for the downstairs recess lights. The HS220 smart switch is powered but it will power in the two downstairs lights.

@problem1985

I think the issue is the outlets that you have are three-way switches which the HS220 does not support. You need to use the HS210.

@Tony I installed two switches from the HS210 kit and neither light works. Please advise.

@problem1985

If the old switches had the white wire attached to the switch, then they are not the neutral.

The white and red are probable the travellers, black the common/load.

Unless you have white(neutral) in the box, you can not use smart switches.
