Kasa app automatically saves wifi password
The Kasa app automatically saves the wireless network passwords to apply to future devices. How can I delete the saved passwords or prevent it from saving my passwords for future use?

The password is not displayed in plain text so if someone else was to get your phone they wouldn't know what it is if they randomly wanted to add a device.
If you are still worried about the password being saved, you can sign out of the Kasa app, and sign in when you would like.

the point is that the WiFi credentials are saved on the Kasa cloud without consent and no way to delete the credentials from the Kasa cloud.
Signing out of the app isn't a real solution as we lose controls to our existing devices and the WiFi credentials are still stored on the Kasa cloud servers.

The privacy policy makes no mention of your personal wireless network password being collected.
However, you can send an email to: privacy.us@tp-link.com for additional questions you may have.

When I try to add a new device, if I select the same WiFi to connect to, Kasa won't prompt for the WiFi password, so it's obviously the password is collected and saved by Kasa.

@bant fwiw, I don't think it's saved to the cloud. I went into my phone settings > apps > kasa and deleted the data the app saved on my phone. recommended wifi networks disappeared when adding a device after that

Good to know and will try it out. Thank you for chiming in. I love the Kasa devices but disappointed in their support.
