Model: HS103
Hardware Version: V5
Firmware Version: 2.33.0.994

I've read a thread today saying the difference between the HS103 and the HS105 is only that the HS105 can power up to 1500 watts whereas the HS103 only 1000 watts. The User Guide I downloaded yesterday, provided by TP-Link website, is designated as v3.8 (the HS103's I received a month ago from Amazon indicate they are v5.8), and it shows on the Introduction page that devices up to 1500 watts are supported. The HVIN on the smartplugs I received say: HS103V5. So, I suspect that this is really the same as the HS105. Am I correct in this?

@drmusic there used to be a lower amperage version of the HS103 (which was only rated for 10 amps). The new version increased it to 15 amps to match the more expensive HS105. So as far as I can tell, they are almost identical plugs now, and the HS105 is more expensive.
