Hello,

I am hoping someone smarter than me can help explain to me why I am seeing voltage when the switch is off. Here are a couple photos, but the quick run down is that  I still see 120v from the fan leg (yellow) to neutral or ground when the switch is off. I was not expecting this.

What is really getting me is that if I go from line to fan leg (yellow), I lose continuity when the switch is off as expected. Why do I still see voltage? What am I missing and not understanding?
