C530WS Live View freezes, times out
C530WS live view connection freezes after 2-3 seconds when viewing remotely on iPhone iOS 26.3 and 26.4.
I've had the camera for about a year and it's been perfectly stable until 2 weeks ago. Now every time I load Live View while connected to an outside network, the data rate drops after a few seconds and the camera times out. All other cameras on the same network work normally when viewed remotely.
The camera RSSI is -57, connection to router seems very stable and always has been. Live View DOES work properly on the iPhone IF connected to the local network.
This problem does not occur while viewing the camera remotely on other devices. The Tapo app on my iPad does not have this problem. It is isolated to my iPhone, this camera, and only when Live viewing while connected to an outside network.
I've done a lot of troubleshooting assuming that this was an issue with the camera's local network. I recently discovered that the only thing that solves the problem is deleting and reinstalling the Tapo app on my phone. This fixes the problem temporarily, UNTIL I close the app and reopen it. Then the problem persists until I delete and reinstall the app again.
What is happening here? I'm starting to believe this is a software bug that has appeared, since this problem only occurs on my iPhone. I can’t reinstall the app every time I need to view the camera.
