I've had Kasa app on my iPhone for 2+ years with 3 smart switches, all work fine. 

Now I'm trying to add Kasa Smart wi-fi Outdoor Plug.  I can add the device (+) in Kasa app, and when I attempt to connect to the wifi network in the plug, iPhone says

"Do you want to configure this for wifi and add to Home?"

I want to add the plug to Kasa app but NOT Apple Home - I don't use Home.  Apparently, iPhone won't allow that, so I let it add the plug to Apple Home.  It works and I can turn the plugs on/off.  But the plug is not available to the Kasa app.  I really don't want to use two different apps for different devices - that defeats the purpose of buying another Kasa/TP-Link device.

Any sage wisdom?
