@Jayh6u I'm not sure what you mean by blocking the view. It sounds like you may have the camera pointed through a window. If that is the case you cannot use night vision.

Create a separate schedule for the summer and have it turn off x minutes after sunrise. Enable the winter schedule for winter and the summer schedule for sumer.

@jamesd1 The blinking orange and blue lights usually means the device is in setup mode. Have you tried completing the setup.
