Got sorted.

What is not clear in the manual is that simply adding a device on the app does not enable device specific context menu and consequently energy monitoring on the HS110 device.

I added it directly on the app and all appeared A-ok.

Could control it remotely, so it seemed to be installed ok.

Selecting the device only results in the option to remove the device.

Solution

- Removed device.

- Pressed button on device for 5 seconds.

- Added device on app.

- Device Context menu available including energy monitoring. :)

Hi,

Glad to hear that it was resolved finally, thanks for your feedback.

For the user manual, we will forward to our engineer and make it more customer-orientiated.

To check the energy monitoring function, open kasa app, tab on HS110 and go to energy usage page, then you can see that.

Good day.

Re: "....open kasa app, tab on HS110 and go to energy usage page, then you can see that"

it was exactly this that was not available.

The only option when tapping on the added HS110 was Remove Device.

Hi,

You do not need to slide HS110 to remove the device, instead, you only need click the device name of the HS110 and then you will see the menu and get the energy monitoring page.

This was not available.

Click /Tap selection of the device name only gave the option to remove the device. There was no device context menu.

Context menu only appeared after removing device and re-adding AFTER pressing button on HS110.

I'm afraid that there is some misunderstanding between each other.

With HS110 works properly, you do not have to press the device name of the HS110 for a long time, just click it for one second, and then you will see the menu page.

Anyway, cause you have found the page where shows the energy monitoring, we can let it go now.

If need more help, just let us know.

@SmartSA

Is it possible to get a monthly energy report (1. until last day of a month) on mail?

This would be a nice feature.
