Hello,

as i could see today the RE450 (V3.0) is not listet for Mesh support any more.

Is this a mistake or is Mesh support cancelled for this Device?

@Winter49

The RE450 has been withdrawn from the Onemesh compatibility list considering there is no firmware released in the next few months, to avoid potential loss, we put it out from the list; If you customers want to use Onemesh feature, you can choose the RE300, RE205 which support Onemesh already.

While if you have had the RE450 already, do you have any router which supports Onemesh?

Good day.

@Kevin_Z

thank you for your reply.

I owned already a router Archer VR600v (V2) which already supports OneMesh. I want to extend my Network with the RE450 because its Gigabit Network Interface. (My ISP supports 400MBit) So i specially bought that Extender (specially V3) in expactation of supporting OneMesh in the future.  That is now very disapointing.

@Winter49

I see, I totally understand your feeling. And we are sorry for the trouble caused here.

You have an Archer VR600v already which supports Onemesh, to build up the mesh network, you can return RE450 and get a RE300, which supports Onemesh. But there is no ethenret port on it.

May it help and have a nice day.

@Winter49

THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS!!!

I had an Archer C7 V2 and RE450 V1 and although they were working just fine, I changed them with Archer A7 V5 and RE450 V3 just to get the OneMesh feature that was listed on the site as a future upgrade for RE450 V3.

And now, that upgrade has been withdrawn. What the F...!!!!!!

Is this the way you are treating your customers???

THIS IS A TOTAL MOCKERY!!!

NEVER TRUST OR BUY YOUR PRODUCTS AGAIN, EVER!!!

@Kevin_Z

About 1 1/2 years ago I bought a TP-Link C1750 router and it worked just fine, I was happy to have a great router with the opportunity to add some Mesh-range extenders when I need them. So far so good.

Last year in august I moved into a bigger basement and so I checked some options, my search for an affordable MESH-extender showed me the RE450. Okay fine, I had a final plan for my new home network. Moving took a while and in january 2020 I completed my home office. So I just ordered two of the RE450s without even thinking if there could be the a problem with the product. Sadly I've not seen this thread before, I tried several times to activate the MESH-functions on the 450s, of corse with no luck. I can't tell how many hours I wasted on this product and my retailer only accepts a 14 day give back, when the product is working.

So I started some investigation and found this thread... To be honest, I feel scamed. Where can I exchange the 450s? I need some Mesh-hardware...

Thanks for your help! I'm from Germany if this makes a difference for the exchange.

Greetings

@Kossmin i also. i've Archer C7, 2 re300, 1 re305 all one mesh. And also re450 taken for ethernet. How dare you write on your liar site that you update and then with the face like your ass say "sorry, we joked".

What a bad company ... never, I say NEVER will buy anything branded tplink.

Hi All!

Good day.

We are really sorry for the inconvenience we have caused.

If you just bought the RE450 V3 with the hope for one mesh, please return it back to the shop retailers and change a different model;

While if you had the range extender for a while and local retailer would not accept the refund, please try to reach the local technical support team for better solution: https://www.tp-link.com/support/contact-technical-support/

And for future users who are interested in OneMesh, it is highly recommended to choose the model which is already OneMesh supported; and The compatible device list will be updated regularly and the information of planned models is only for reference; TP-Link reserves the right to modify this page at any time without notifying the user.

https://www.tp-link.com/onemesh/compatibility/

Thank you very much for your cooperation and support.

@Winter49

Yes, so with your bright and shiny OneMesh router with fast speeds you can now link it to the only extenders which support onemesh and operate everyhing at much lower speeds. So why purchase a fast router from TP-Link then?

As an alternative consider Netgear or Asus that offer fast onemesh extenders that go with their fast routers.

Or stick with a company that deceives you into purchasing products with upgrades that never happen at much lower speeds than the competion.
