@negora

Good day,

Thanks a lot of your time and patience.

Really sorry for the inconvenience.

It is more like, RE505X would operate 802.11ax by default and you do not need to manually change it to the 802.11ax mode so that this option does not show up on the web UI;

But In case of the further misunderstanding, we have reported this feedback to our senior engineers for further evaluation.

Thank you very much for your understanding and support.

@Solla-topee OK, I understood it now. Thank you.

But I believe that the option should be exposed in the GUI. Otherwise, if I switched to 802.11ac mode, then there would be no way to go back to 802.11ax mode, but resetting the device to the factory settings. I hope yours engineers take that into account.

Again, thank you for your support.

Hello I have the same issue, I thought this extender was wifi 6 (AX) but it appears it can only extend an existing wifi 6 router signal. AP mode does not support wifi 6. The max speed I can achieve is 866Mbps using AP mode. I expected 1200 based on the advertising. It was not mad clear that this unit can only extend an existing wifi6 signal. Can you clarify please? Is there a firmware upgrade to fix this? Or do I need to return it based on false advertising?

@MrGoto  It is recommended to check the model of wireless adapter and make sure your WiFi clients support 802.11ax & 2 Mimo to get 1.2Gbps link speed.

Please let me know the model number of your device/ wireless adapter , thank you!

I updated the firmware and can now select AX however max speed is still only 866Mbps. It is advertised at 1200Mbps.
