Model: TL-R600VPN
Hardware Version: V4
Firmware Version: 4.03

Hello All.

Wondering if anyone has run into issues with VPN on this router. I have this deployed on a site, and they have vpn enabled on the router. They have a L2TP server setup and they have created users that can connect to this router by vpn. The problem is that in the evening, users find that the connection drops randomly. Sometimes the users can work on the vpn for 30 minutes, other times it last 5 minutes. The system is pretty random and because of that it is a bit hard to nail down. After it disconnects, the users can reconnect right away with no issues so i it isn't the internet connection from the site that is dropping the connection. (they have a fiber connection so it is really stable) Is there a setting somewhere on the router to look if their is something that could be causing the disconnects? Any help or suggestions would be great

Dear @Barais,

The problem is that in the evening, users find that the connection drops randomly. Sometimes the users can work on the vpn for 30 minutes, other times it last 5 minutes.

What applications are usually running before the VPN connection drops?

Please check the system log when the VPN connection drops, sometimes we can find something from the log info.

In addition, please check the current firmware version, upgrade the firmware if it is not up to date.
