Model: EAP225-Outdoor
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: 5.0.8 Build 20220613 Rel. 51936(4341)

My Current setup is;

- OC200 V1 5.4.7 FW 1.18.3 Build 20220715 Rel.56221

- 2 EAP245(US) 3.0 FW 5.0.8 (1 is root AP and the other is mash connected)

when I power up the EAP225-outdoor with just power, the OC200 doesn't see it, if I hardline it into the network, it shows up

when it does show up, the model is wrong, EAP225-Outdoor(Canada) v3.0[Custom], I've confirmed that it is the US model, not the canadian model

I'm assuming that's what is causing the issue but I haven't found a way around it in my googling and such, I did put a ticket into tp-link but they haven't gotten back to me yet.

Not sure what other info would be helpful or relevant at this point.

And yes I am in Canada

  @screagle So I discovered what the true issue was....the EAP225-OUTDOOR only goes down to channel 149...so you need to set the root AP to use one of the frequencies supported by the EAP225-OUTDOOR otherwise it can't be adopted...

  @screagle

Just a quick thought, have you enabled MESH under settings?   This needs to be enabled to allow APs to adopt via WiFi

Its under Settings > Site >  tick advanced features, in there..   sorry working from memory!!

  @Philbert Yeah it's turned on, I've been using the mesh with 2 eap245's for a while now.

  @screagle This is what I see when I have the new access points hardwired, they're being identified as canada even though they are US labeled items

  @screagle

It may be more accurate to compare MAC addresses directly, sometimes what is marked on the label and what is shown on the actual product do not match, but in general, the MAC as a unique sign of the device is sure to match.

Just striving to develop myself while helping others.
